VOICE — Expression & Connection
AT3 Newsroom Project
This media product is part of the AT3 Newsroom Project. Our group researched and wrote about international trade and tariffs. We wrote a feature-based article under the theme “To Tariff or Not to Tariff.” During planning, we discussed how to present an economic topic in a way that was clear and interesting for young audiences. In order to attract readers, we decided to combine serious information with light-hearted humour. For the planing, We first researched reliable news sources and economic reports, then wrote collaboratively. I summarised complex information in simple terms and added transitions to keep the story flowing. Finally, I’m proud of our final article because it clearly explains a difficult topic in an attractive way. The structure and examples worked well. If I could improve it, I would include more local examples from Australia to make it more relatable to our readers.
AT3 Podcast
This is a group podcast based on our written news article, produced as part of the AT3 Newsroom Project. The podcast adapts the same topic, tariffs and trade into an audio discussion with multiple hosts. We decided to make the podcast sound like a casual news-talk show with clear explanations and light humour. So we added short sound effects and transitions to make the conversation lively and easy to follow. Meanwhile, We also wrote the script based on our article, then rehearsed several times before recording at the SYN radio studio. I feel proud of the final podcast because it turned a complex topic into an engaging and understandable story. The teamwork was smooth, and everyone’s voice contributed to the show’s energy. If we had more time, we would improve sound mixing to make the audio even clearer.

PR Task
Next is a PR press-conference video created for a media and communication project. Our group designed a fictional public relations scenario based on a celebrity controversy and performed as the PR team addressing questions from the press.During planning, our group decided to present the PR scenario in a humorous and engaging way to make it entertaining while still showing professional PR strategies. We started by researching real-life PR crisis responses and watching examples of celebrity press conferences to understand the tone and format. Then we brainstormed our script, rehearsed several times, and adjusted the dialogue to sound more natural. Lastly, I am happy with this new experience, it's funny and I also learned the related knowledge about PR.
